GOAL: MERCHANDISE PRODUCT + PROMO TOOL FOR SCREENINGS AND HOME CINEMA RELEASE

 

The BONEHILL ROAD comic adapts the indie horror movie "Bonehill Road", directed by Todd Sheets in 2017, in a 2-issue (22 black & white pages each) limited series.

I was commissioned by Blood Scream Comics to script and draw this movie tie-in comic series for an English language edition to be published in the US, close to the release of the film in DVD and Blu-ray.

Blood Scream Comics sent me a digital copy of the film and gave me total freedom under the only premise that I had to adapt "Bonehill Road" in two issues 22-pages each. I also had to provide them with a color cover for each issue. 

I did the script, pencil, ink and lettering for the whole series, while Nae Ed colored the covers over my illustrations.

The BONEHILL ROAD comic series served as a merchandise product for Blood Scream Comics (that distributed it in comic stores across the US and sold it through their website), but also for promo purposes and an additional source of income for some cast and crew members of the film, that sold and sign copies of the comic in screenings and conventions and through their social media.
