FAQs
I want you to adapt my movie into a comic/graphic novel. How do I proceed?

Just send me an e-mail to marcgrascots@yahoo.es with what you have in mind and I'll be happy to discuss the project with you. I'll appreciate if you can include a link where I can watch your movie to learn more about it and if you can let me know your budget for the comic and when you expect to have it completed.

How do you make your comics?

Old-fashioned! Paper, pencil and ink (I use pen, nib and brush). Lettering and color (when needed) are added digitally after scanning the art.

What services do you offer?

I can write and draw the comic adaptation of your movie. That includes script, pencil, ink and lettering. Also color, if you need it. I can also create a cover for the comic, if you don't want to use the regular poster of your movie. In addition, I can draw DVD and Blu-ray covers and film posters upon request.

What services do you not offer?

I won't layout or print your comic. That means, once I have completed the commission, I will send you the comic pages in digital form (.jpg, .tiff or .pdf, your call!) for your graphic designer to layout the comic and send it to the printer. If you don't have a graphic designer or you are not familiar with the printing process, I can put you in contact with some colleagues that can help you in that step.

Will you send me the original art of the comic you have drawn?

No, you will receive digital HQ files (300 px, minimum) for you to layout and print the comic. Commissioning me a comic means you'll have the exclusive rights of publication in the language of your choice (1 language. For additional languages, a small fee is needed), but you won't own the original art. If you want to own the original art, we can discuss a satisfactory deal for both parts. Also, in that case, you'll need to cost the shipment.

What will cost me that you make a comic based on my movie?

It depends on how many pages you want, if you want it black and white or color, what will be my deadline, etc. Most of the times I receive a page rate (that includes script & art), but I am open to discussion.

How long will it take you to make my comic?

Again, it depends on how many pages you want, if it's black and white or color, etc. So you have an idea, a 22-page black & white comic-book can be usually completed in 2 - 2.5 months.

How do I pay you?

50% upfront + 50% when I deliver you the final files. PayPal is fine.

I have more questions.

Please, send me an e-mail to marcgrascots@yahoo.es and I'll be happy to reply you as soon as possible! :)
